Ariel's father thought he was crazy to come to Britain, but he came anyway!

Bristol has changed my life
Why Bristol? I came to Bristol just by chance. I went back to Argentina after three years living in New York. One night in the bar in Mendoza in the central of Argentina, I met a friend who told me about Bristol, I said where is Bristol? Because I don’t have any idea where it is. He told me that it is a nice city in England. So I thought it was a good opportunity to improve my English and visit Europe. When I told my father about my plan, he said, “Are you crazy? Don’t you remember the war that we had with England over the Falkland Islands?” I said “Don’t worry. I will be all right”.
So here I am. My idea was only to stay here for a short period, but as I got to know Bristol my plan and my life changed. I find this city very exciting, vibrant, and an interesting place to live. Even more, it has given me the possibility to grow in my career and I have been promoted three times already. I have also met in Bristol the person I love. So for this and much more, thank you Bristol. I will never forget you!
